Progress Report 2022
We track the progress against our goals.
Goal #1: Establish an endowment capital funds account
We will keep the capital funds intact and use only the interests to meet donation requests. Decided on July 24, 2021 Board Retreat. The Endowment Fund Committee is now in place to oversee proposed investments. The Fundraising Committee has raised its first $1k for needy UP students. The team is working for more donations.
Goal #2: Create the UPAAGLA Circle of Friends (CofF)
The Circle of Friends is a group of generous family, friends, and corporations with recurring donations to support UPAAGLA efforts for UP.
Board approved in concept on October 2021. We received $5K pledges and offers from potential CofF founders.
Goal #3: Make UPAAGLA Endowment Funds recipient of beneficiaries/trust funds.
Invite alumni, family, and friends to name our Endowment Funds as recipients of such donations.
UPAAGLA’s first donor in the wings has designated UPAAGLA as the beneficiary of funds from his deceased mother, a UP Alumna. The board proposal led by our first donor will happen in October 2022.
Goal #4: Member Retention and Attraction
There are ongoing member engagements via social media, newsletters, and social and civic events.
